Southborough Recreation is offering a new art class this spring. Starting March 30th, participants ages 14+will learn “to create beautiful stained-glass art [using] the Tiffany style copper foil method”.
The six week class is for adults and teens ages 14 years or older. Space is limited, so sign up quickly.
No experience necessary and open to all skill levels. The class will take you on a journey from selecting your pattern and glass, to cutting and grinding, to foiling and soldering, to framing and patina. All materials are included, and each participant will take home a finished art piece at the end to showcase proudly.
Taught by Audra Murray, a Southborough resident. Audra has always loved stained glass, so she jumped at the opportunity to learn the art form when a class was offered. It was love at first cut, and she hasn’t stopped creating glass art ever since. She enjoys designing unique pieces and sharing her passion for stained glass with others.
The series of classes costs $250. Classes will take weekly place on Sundays from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. They will run March 30th – May 11th (except for April 20th).
