If you’re looking for a bit of staycation fun for your kids over NSBORO Schools’ Spring Break, you’re in luck. Southborough Recreation is promoting three day trips and a sewing workshop to keep kids entertained.
Due to the timing of Good Friday this year, the April break is longer than usual. Kids will be out of school Friday, April 18th through Sunday, April 27th.
Rec isn’t offering any programs on the Fridays or Patriot’s Day. But they are offering opportunities that Tuesday through Thursday. The programs are for an overlapping range of ages. (3rd – 5th graders have the most options for fun.)
Registration is limited capacity. And Rec closes registration a week prior to each program.
Here are the offerings. . .
Field Trips:
Each of these include transportation. Participants should be dropped off at and picked up from Recreation’s building (the South Union Building, 21 Highland Street).
Apex Bowling Field Trip (Grades 2-6)
Tuesday, April 22nd, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm ($50)
Bowling, arcade games and laser tag at Apex Entertainment in Marlborough. Includes a pizza lunch. (Click here for details and to register.)
Launch Field Trip (Grades 2-6)
Wednesday, April 23rd, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm ($50)
Bouncing, jumping, and ziplining at the Launch Trampoline Park in Framingham. Includes a pizza lunch. (Click here for details and to register.)
Red Sox Field Trip (Grades 3-7)
Thursday, April 24th, 11:30 am – 6:00 pm ($100)
Attend a Boston Red Sox vs Seattle Mariners game. Includes $25 concession card for lunch. (Click here for details and to register.)
In-town fun:
April Break Sew Studio (Grades 1-5)
Wednesday, April 23rd, 9:00 -11:30 am ($65)
Sew a “soft, adorable cloud”. (See image right.) No experience necessary. Drop off and pickup is directly at the studio, 250 Turnpike Rd. (Click here for details and to register.)
