I’m following up on the issue of the many meetings that were cancelled Tuesday through Thursday morning.
So far, only one board has succeeded in rescheduling, and that is for an abbreviated portion of their agenda.
The Select Board will convene over zoom this Friday morning, April 18th at 9:00 am. The agenda has been pared down to cover items the board clearly felt couldn’t wait for their next regular evening meeting on Tuesday, May 6th.
It’s not unusual for zoom meetings of the Select Board to pop up on a weekday morning. Those usually entail items they want to handle expeditiously that they perceive aren’t of high interest to the general public.
This Friday’s meeting won’t include the presentation of the FY24 audit. And the board won’t discuss the interim report from the 21 Highland Street Future Use Committee or potential future uses of Finn School if the Neary Building Project is approved.
The board will still handle the appointment of a Probationary Officer and Interim Building Commissioner, plus sign the Warrants for the Special Town Meeting and Town Election.
The agenda also includes a PERC Test for a Town owned parcel on Pinecone Lane.
Plus, the DPW Superintendent will discuss “CSX road opening permit for Main St. project”. That’s an item that was added to the agenda for their original meeting after my post on Monday morning. (Stay tuned for news on that. It sounds promising, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions!)
You can find the agenda here. So far, no packet is posted, but some of the materials from the original Tuesday packet are relevant (for the officer and the Warrants). You can find that packet here.
