  • Hands-Off Protest (4:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Sidewalks at intersection of Route 9, Oak Hill Road, and Central Street: The public is invited to join residents planning to “STANDOUT & STAND UP NOW”. For details, see dedicated post.

Saturday, April 19, 2025

  • Read to a Dog (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Register for kids ages 5+ to get a chance to read to a therapy dog. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.

Monday, April 21 — Patriot’s Day

  • Town Facilities Closed: Town Hall, Town offices, the Southborough Library, and the Senior Center are closed for the state holiday. (Plus, this is spring break week for public schools.)

Tuesday, April 22, 2025

  • Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Princess Meet and Greet (3:30 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Registration is required for this free kids event at the library featuring “the Mermaid Princess and the Wayfinder”. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Gorgeous Gardens of New England (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Enjoy professional photos of fabulous gardens – final part of a 4-part series sponsored by SCAC. No registration required. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Live Blues Jam n’ Open Mic (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come play or sing with the house band and fellow musical talent, or just enjoy the show. For details, see restaurant website.

  • Are You Game? (1:00 – 6:00pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: For ages 9 and up: Join fellow gamers for a casual meet up of fellow players of board games and chess. No registration required..
  • Tween Writing Club (3:30 –  4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Tweens are invited to come to writing club to brainstorm and ideas and share written works in a relaxed, fun environment. No registration required.
  • Virtual Author Talk (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ online: Registration is required to take part in the free live talk with Q&A, “The Thrill of Writing Action, Adventure, and Suspense: A Conversation with Bestselling Author Gregg Hurwitz“.
