I posted information about Monday’s Memorial Day parade a few days ago, but here it is again so you don’t have to go searching through the archives to find it. Aren’t I thoughtful?
Southborough will remember its veterans on Monday with the annual Memorial Day parade. The parade starts at 9:00 am at the Marlboro Saving Bank at the corner of East Main and Newton Streets. Veterans are asked to meet at the Legion/VFW Headquarters at the Community House at 8:15 am.
The parade will wind through the Rural Cemetery, Burnett Cemetery, Revolutionary War Cemetery, and the Civil War Memorial, with a final stop at the All Wars Memorial in the town common.
Veterans of VFW Post 3276 and American Legion Post 161 will lead the parade, followed by members of the Southborough Men and Militia, Buffalo Soldiers, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Algonquin Regional High School Band.
Susan, thank you for posting this information. Every Mem’l Day and Veterans Day our family tries to remember and find parade details … this year, we knew exactly where to look! For this and many other reasons, we are grateful for your website.
Your thoughtfulness was appreciated — one click and I knew what time to show up! It was my first Memorial Day parade in Southborough, and it was a lovely way to remember our fallen. Thank you!
