Learn about Southborough Rotary at Summer Nights

Southborough Rotary has a number of philanthropic events planned for the fall — they’re raising money for an essay contest and planning their annual road race at Heritage Day, among other things. You can learn more about the events and about Rotary at their table at Summer Nights on Sunday.

Here are some more details the group sent along:

The Southborough Rotary will hold it’s Annual Road Race this year on Sunday October 10, 2010 at 10:00 am starting at the Neary School. This year we are adding a Walk-a-Thon component. Our goal is to FILL THE SOUTHBOROUGH FOOD PANTRY. Tee shirts, prizes and more are included with your $20 preregistration (click here for a registration form). If walking or running are not for you, become a virtual runner.  Get the V-Tee for $15 – sweat and sore feet not included! We will also be raising money at Summer Nights for the Rotary Essay Contest. Look for the Rotary table at Summer Nights August 29.

Summer Nights starts at 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 29 at Neary School. More information here.

How far is the road race? Neither this site, the registration form, or the rotary site itself mention the distance. Did I just miss it somewhere? I would imagine the length of the road race is an important factor for a lot of people when deciding whether to sign up.

The race is a 10K and the walk is a 5K
