The Southborough Police report a home on Devine Lane was broken into sometime last weekend. Devine Lane is a small street off Middle Road north of Route 9.
Sergeant Sean James said the homeowners were away for the weekend and returned home on Monday to find the house had been burglarized. No word on what, if anything, was taken.
It’s the latest in a string of home break-ins in town. More than a half-dozen homes have been broken into in the past couple of months.
James said they are working with other agencies on the crimes, but so far they have not identified any suspects. He also said they have increased patrols in the neighborhoods where break-ins have occurred.
The Southborough Police released a memo last month on ways to help keep your home safe. You can read it here. They also ask that you continue to be vigilant about reporting any suspicious activity right away. If you see something that concerns you, contact the Southborough Police at 508-485-2121, or call 9-1-1.
