After just over a year in business, Niva, a women’s clothing boutique in the Town Center plaza, will be closing up shop. Owner Victoria Plotnik said she decided to close the store because the location just wasn’t working out.
“I have met some very nice people, but I feel my business would grow at a faster rate in a different location,” Plotnik said.
The original Niva location in Northborough (290 W. Main Street) will remain open, and Plotnik said she is looking into opening another location somewhere closer to Boston.
All items in Niva’s Southborough shop will be on sale starting today, including furniture and fixtures. Clothes and accessories are discounted up to 75%.
The Town Center plaza has seen several store closings in the past year. Southborough Jewelers closed up shop last June after 10 years in business. In December Colony Market closed after losing it’s lease. A new market is expected to take its place.
I stopped by today to check out the sale…. the shop is completely empty, apart from some fixtures!
