A serious car accident on Boston Road this weekend sent two Marlborough men to the hospital, one with what Fire Chief John Mauro Jr. described as life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened in the wee hours on Saturday, with both Southborough police and fire responding. Boston Road east of Central Street was closed for nearly 12 hours following the accident. Police think icy roads may have caused the crash.
It was the second serious car accident in Southborough in the past two weeks. Earlier this month, a rollover accident on Jericho Hill Road sent two to the hospital with serious injuries. Alcohol and speed were identified as factors in that crash.
