I’ve been working on a number of tweaks to (hopefully!) improve your browsing experience over here at My Southborough, the first of which I rolled out just a short time ago.
The most significant improvement in today’s batch o’ tweaks is the introduction of a new navigation bar. You can now browse by category to more quickly find the information you’re looking for. I also made some visual changes to give the blog a cleaner, slightly more minimal look and feel.
I have more changes planned — don’t worry, nothing too drastic — that I will roll out as time permits. If there’s anything you’d like to see happen with the blog (new features, changes to appearance or functionality, etc.), now would be a great time to shout it out in the comments. I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Looks great. Did you have to go through all your posts and tag them to create your categories? I am looking at doing something similar on my blog. You know, in all my spare time. Ha!
All my 3,000+ posts? Heck no. Fortunately I’ve been using categories from the beginning, so it was just a question of doing some relatively minor clean-up and then exposing the categories in the nav. Have you tried the new WP menu feature? It’s pretty great.
I’ve been using categories but not in an organized way. I switched themes and my new theme supports menus but I haven’t gotten that far yet. I will investigate!
