Town Meeting attendance was high this year – relatively speaking – with 413 residents filling the seats at Trottier the first night and 240 the second. With nearly 6,800 registered voters in town, that makes for an attendance rate of 6.1 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively.
Attendance this year topped last year’s turnout by a slim margin, making it the most-attended Town Meeting since 2005. (Wondering what was on the warrant in 2005 that compelled a high turnout? Check out this comment by town historian Donna McDaniel.)
Here’s a look at Town Meeting attendance over the past decade or so.
