The Beals Preserve has undergone some significant changes this year. Six acres of the preserve nestled between Main Street and Red Gate Lane were cleared as part of a habitat restoration project overseen by the Southborough Open Land Foundation. You can see photos of the land clearing in this post.
On Sunday, SOLF members Sally Watters and Freddie Gillespie will lead a walk through the preserve to talk about the habitat project. All are invited to attend. Meet at the kiosk at the entrance to the Beals Preserve off Main Street (down the lane across from Chestnut Hill Road) at 1:00 pm.
