Above: The Garfield House – soon to be sold?
According to the MLS listings, a sale is pending on Southborough’s historic Garfield House. The stone house on the corner of Main Street and Deerfoot Road has been on the market for 278 days. After an auction back in November yielded no bidders, the house was listed at $1,150,000. The price was recently dropped to $995,000. The property was last assessed by the town at $1.5M.
The Metrowest Daily News did a story about the house in their print-only edition on Sunday, but I haven’t seen it. If anyone read the article, please share the scoop in the comments.
