Northborough, MA 01532For those who are unable to attend the wake or funeral, our family is working closely with the Northborough-Southborough Music Association (NMSA) to put together a Musical Tribute to my dad, which will be held on a date to-be-determined in the next few weeks. More information will be posted on this event as it takes shape. Friends, colleagues and alums that would like to actively participate – you are all welcome! It would be great to give everyone a voice on that day. However, logistics and space need to be considered and planned. Any individuals and/or groups who would like to have a 5-minute time slot during the Tribute please contact tribute@nsma.info with your plan, participants and contact person. We will try to accommodate as many people as possible, but please understand that time constraints may limit how many may participate.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this very difficult time. Your kindness and support has been a great comfort to us.
The church in Grafton is very small, so the family has requested that only close colleagues, personal friends, and family attend the funeral. The wake in Auburn is open to all.
I also have early word that the musical tribute is scheduled for the evening of Monday, March 30.
To Dennis’ Family…
I read with sorrow of Dennis’ untimely passing. i was also a music ed major at UMASS and graduated in 1972 with him. I played tuba in the band and both sat near him in concert band and marched with him in marching band.
It’s strange how we lose touch with people we care about…and then shockingly find out about their passing.
Dennis was a consumate musician and a loving and caring guy who touched the lives of hundreds of students.
Bless you all…
