Southborough’s unemployment rate held relatively steady in the first half of the year, but registered a slight uptick in the month of June.
Southborough started the year with an unemployment rate of 5.5% in January. The rate fell to 4.7% in February and stayed largely the same until it rose to 5.2% in June. The increase in June followed both statewide and national trends.
Year-over-year, Southborough’s unemployment rate in 2011 was an average of about 30% less than for the same period last year. Check out the chart below for all the numbers.
