Class sizes in the K-8 schools may be on the decline, but apparently the same cannot be said for Algonquin.
Enrollment data released at the Regional School Committee meeting last night shows many classes have more than 25 students. Reports TheDailyNorthborough.com:
Last year, only seven English classes exceeded 25 students, and according to this semester’s information, that number has increased to 17 courses.
According to the data, mathematics has seen an increase of four to 11 courses, while Social Studies jumped from 17 to 22 classes. This year marked the first semester that Applied Arts courses exceeded 25 students, with three classes carrying a higher enrollment.
