The Municipal Facilities Committee has been making the rounds with their proposal for a new police station. Earlier this month they presented options to the Board of Selectmen. Last week they held a public hearing on their proposal. Tonight they’re talking to the Advisory Committee.
To keep things interesting, the Historical Commission will get equal time before the Advisory Committee tonight. The Historical Committee is in favor of preserving the current Police Station for its historical value, while the Municipal Facilities Committee recommends a plan that would require the demolition of the current building.
If there is time, the Advisory Committee will also consider the override and exclusion policy for 2010 budgets. The meeting will convene in the Senior Center at 8:00 pm (later than normal due to a State Ethics panel meeting at Town Hall). A complete agenda can be found here.
