Sahag Sahagian, 83, of Southborough died on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Armenian Nursing & Rehab Center in Jamaica Plains.
He was the husband of Alma (Sarkisian) for the past 48 years. Born in Watertown, he was the son of the Garry and Esther Sahagian
Mr. Sahagian was a graduate of Northeastern University and a US Army veteran serving from 19 54 to 1956. He was a chemical engineer for Foster Grant and American Hoechst. After retirement he was a consultant for Huntsman Chemical. He was an avid golfer and bridge player.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Stepan Sahagian of Milford; 2 nieces, several grand nieces & nephews and great grand nieces & nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Melkon Sahagian who passed away in 1988 and his nephew Jack Shemligan.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 18, from 4 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough, (Morrisfuneralparlor.com)
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday , October 19, at 11 AM at The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin St. Framingham, MA 01702. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in his memory to The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin St., Framingham, MA 01702.
