While most of us were preparing for Snowtober on Saturday, the Algonquin girls field hockey team quietly captured their first Mid Wach A title since 1974. The girls now head to the Division 1 Central playoffs as the second seed. With a bye in the first round, they’ll face the winner of the Leominster/Worcester South game in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
