Santa Day is about community. Not just the community of kids of all ages who turn out for a visit with the Jolly One, but also the community of local businesses and organizations that make Santa’s visit possible. The good folks at Southborough Kindergroup, who organize the yearly event, asked me to pass along their words of thanks for another successful year.
As is his annual tradition, Santa wowed the children of Southborough last Saturday by flying in on helicopter. Hundreds greeted him on St. Mark’s field and waited patiently to visit with Santa at the Community House. Some came prepared with lists, pictures, and very specific instructions for jolly St. Nick. Others approached hesitantly, and (of course) some cried. For all the families who participated, it was an unforgettable experience. Carrie Rowan and her Merry Go Music pals entertained the waiting children with holiday music. Each child left with a keepsake picture of him/herself with Santa and wonderful memories!
It was another great day in Southborough thanks to the generosity of many local businesses. Kindergroup looks forward to organizing this day each year, but could not host this event without the support of sponsors. This is truly a community event, and we thank all of our sponsors for making it possible. This year we want to especially honor our Santa’s Circle businesses for their extra generosity:
