Doris R. Cyr, 81, of Punta Gorda, Fla. passed away Dec. 9, 2011. She was born March 13, 1930 in Leavenworth, Kan. and moved to in 1990 from Portland. Mrs. Cyr retired from Unum Insurance Company in Portland and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years Robert J. Cyr, Sr.; daughter, Deborah Cyr of Punta Gorda, Fla., sons, Robert J. Cyr, Jr. of Treasure Island, Fla., Timothy Cyr of Biddeford, Steve Cyr of Southborough, Mass., Paul Cyr, David Cyr both of Portland; and two grandchildren. She preceded in death by her parents Charles and Sadie McCullough; daughter, Valerie Cyr; sisters, Beulah Wade, Marjorie Waters brothers, William McCullough and Charles McCullough.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Portland. Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte Florida. Memorial donations may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, 14010 Roosevelt Boulevard, Suite #709, Clearwater, FL 33762.
