Since the decision to close it was announced back in November, many of you have offered suggestions for improving operations at the Swap Shop. In this guest post, one Southborough mother offers up her (tongue-in-cheek) solution.
A solution to the Swap Shop problems
Let me get this straight:
You have unruly persons
They do not obey posted rules
They do not understand common standards of decency and behavior
They act inappropriately
They often act aggressively
Occasionally, they hit or swipe or even bite
They have no regard for those who clean up after them
They think nothing of making a mess, having someone else clean it
up and then making another mess right on top of it
They only think about themselves and what they want
They have been heard to shout “Mine mine mine! You can’t have!
Mine mine mine!”The solution to the Swap Shop: post a Mom or two there.
This is nothing we don’t deal with everyday.
Brilliant! And so true…
