Richard E. “Dick” Thompson 75, of Southborough, formerly of Mt. Prospect and Park Ridge, IL , died January 5, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Peggy (Rafter) Thompson; devoted father of Ryan, Scott, Sean, and Megan Thompson of Southborough; Jean (Michael) O’Shea and her husband Micheal of Park Ridge, IL, Ken and Karen Thompson of Chicago, IL; grandfather of Olivia Thompson, Griffin, Genevieve and Connor O’Shea; brother of George (Sharon) Thompson of Barrington, IL; nephew of Barbara Bowen of Elk Grove Village, IL; son of the late Clifford E. and Genevieve (Kaiser) Thompson of Mt. Prospect and Park Ridge, IL.
Dick was an Army veteran and the owner of a family business, Thompson’s Finer Foods, of Park Ridge, IL, till it closed in 1996 and the family moved to Massachusetts.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 12, from 4 to 8 PM at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southoborough. A Mass of resuurection will be on Friday, January 13, at 10 AM at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough.
