[Ed note: This is the latest in the Doing Good series which features stories of Southborough residents who are doing their part to help the causes they hold near and dear.]
During the month of August, Woodward students have been collecting pennies – among other currency – to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. At last tally, their Pennies for Patients drive had collected more than $2,000.
Many of the students went above and beyond just searching for spare change. A few weeks ago, third graders Olivia Battles and Elise Gobron set up a stand in their neighborhood to sell friendship pins, duct tape bracelets, rings and notebooks they made themselves, along with lemonade, to raise money for the cause.
Good for them!
Go Girls! This is a great fund raiser for the kids to be involved with and Graham has been finding new sources of change every day to donate.
I have a very fabulous duct tape ring AND 2 friendship bracelets and I love them.
I’ll be right over!!!!
i think i saw one of those dazzling rings on one of Mrs. Kelleher’s fingers! Great job girls and for a wonderful cause~
