School in Southborough starts next Wednesday. As summer vacation winds down, thoughts are turning (reluctantly for many) to the year ahead. Yesterday we took a look at the bus routes for 2012-2013. Today we’ll focus on the calendar for the school year.
School runs Wednesday, August 29, through Tuesday, June 25, or through the conclusion of 180 days. The schedule builds in five snow days and four professional development days plus the usual vacations and holidays.

Pop quiz: Which month has the most school days? Answer: It’s a tie. October and May both have 22. Which months have the fewest? December and February with just 15 days … that is if you don’t count August which only has 3.
