Students at Finn school welcomed some special guests last week as part of its annual Community Reading Day. Preschool, kindergarten and first grade classes simultaneously hosted volunteer readers from a cross section of the Southborough community. The volunteers each explained their role in the community and read a story to the class. At the end, readers donated the book to the class on behalf of SOS, and in turn, the classes presented the readers with a certificate of appreciation.
The books read and donated were Swim! Swim! by Lerch (preschool), Llama Llama Time to Share by Anna Dewdney (kindergarten), and Roxaboxen by Alice McLerran (first grade).
Finn School and the SOS wanted to pass along their thanks to all the volunteer readers for making it a successful event.
