You might remember last year there was considerable discussion about Southborough’s MCAS scores, in particular whether our numbers were up to par with comparable districts. This year, the schools hope to get out in front of the MCAS messaging.
Next week school officials will host an MCAS forum at Trottier to share information about this year’s results. At the session, Assistant Superintendent Christine Johnson and the Southborough principals will give a brief presentation on the latest test results, including areas of particular strength. They’ll also talk about strategies educators in Southborough are using to address areas of improvement.
The forum is intended for parents and members of the community, and school officials say a good deal of time will be devoted to answering questions.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, October 23 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Trottier Middle School library. All interested parties are invited to attend. For more information on 2012 MCAS data, see this post. Also check out this recent article in the Metrowest Daily News.
