The holiday season is always a busy – and fun – one in Southborough. To help with your planning, I’ve put together a list of all the holiday events I know about. I’ll share more detail on each of them as the dates get closer, but here are the basics so you can get them on your calendar. If you know of any events I missed, please share them in the comments.
In particular, notice that due to a North Pole scheduling conflict, Santa will be arriving in Southborough a bit later this year than normal.

Boy Scout Troop 92’s Annual Kids Shop
Woodward Elementary School, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
A safe and affordable place for youngsters (and parents) to do their holiday shopping.
Indoor Craft Fair
Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Shop for unique hand-crafted items in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the mall crowds. Proceeds benefit the AssabetValley Athletic Booster Club.
St. Mark’s Annual Christmas Bazaar
St. Mark’s Church, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Featuring the White Elephant, jewelry & toy sales, hand crafts, fresh greens, silent auction, basket raffles, hot lunch, photos with Santa, and more.
Chestnut Hill Annual Gift Sale
10 Chestnut Hill Road, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Shop for unique, hand-made gifts by local artisans.
Sunday, December 2
Handel’s Messiah
Pilgrim Church, 3:30 pm
The Messiah Community Chorus presents selections from Handel’s Messiah with orchestra and soloists. Tickets are $15 General Admission, $10 Seniors/Students, Family Maximum $40. Free childcare is provided. For tickets call 508-485-4847 or email singhandel@gmail.com.

Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Party
Southborough Public Library, 10:30 am
Make decorations to hang on the library Christmas tree and enjoy refreshments.
Santa Day sponsored by Kindergroup
Community House, 12:00 to 3:00 pm
The big guy makes his grand entrance by helicopter (weather permitting) on the St. Mark’s lawn and then heads over to the Community House for photos with the kids. Enjoy crafts and music while you wait for your audience with Santa.

Algonquin Holiday Concert
Algonquin Regional High School, 7:00 pm
Metrowest Ballet will be performing the Nutcracker at Sudbury High School this Saturday at 4pm. This performance combines professional and student dancers, including some from Southborough. Tickets are available at http://www.metrowestballet.com.
Question – is Santa arriving on Saturday the 15th OR Sunday the 16th? The posting mixes up the day of the week and the date and we certainly don’t want to miss this fun event!

Saturday Dec 1st PAJAMA YOGA for Tots and Tykes/Little Families
3:00pm Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga (crawling – 23 mos. with a parent)
4:15pm Tykes/Little Family Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages 2-5y with a parent, younger siblings welcome)
Pajama Yoga will be taught by Sweet Pea Yoga and held at BodyScapes Fitness; each event is $15 (includes parent+child).
Saturday Dec 8th BENEFIT Kids Yoga class (ages 4.5-10y) with Sweet Pea Yoga
3:00pm-4:00pm, suggested donation $15-$20.
100% of the contributions will be donated to the Worcester County Food Bank. This benefit class will be held at BodyScapes Fitness who graciously donated their studio for hosting the event.
