The Southborough Police Department is holding it’s 15th Junior Police Academy this summer. Applications are due by Thursday, July 11th at 5:00pm.
The drill camp is for 12-15 year olds. They do not need to be Southborough residents.
It will be held from Monday, July 22nd to Friday, July 26th, 8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m., at the Trottier Middle School, Parkerville Road. (Applicants must be able to attend the full week.)
The academy is run by Southborough police officers who volunteer their time and expertise. Other costs are borne by the Southborough Police Association.
Last year, Susan wrote a detailed feature on the camp. You can read more by clicking here.
Fantastic program for the kids. Thanks to all the officers who volunteer their time and work their shifts after the day at the Academy ends so that they can bring this to the kids of the town. Kevin Landry, Rick Mattioli, David Maida and Sean James as well as a host of others work tirelessly to bring this opportunity to our kids. THANK YOU!
