Here is a roundup of some Southborough stories that popped up in The Metrowest Daily News while I was on break last week.

Madison Place developer seeks to add 28 townhouses in Southborough – MWDN:
The developer of a nearly finished 140-apartment affordable housing complex off Rte. 9 is looking to add 28 townhouses.

Madison Place developer Robert Moss has applied for a modification to his existing permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals, building records show. (read more)

Southborough’s Bridge Street bridge shut down for safety concerns – MWDN:
State officials have closed the bridge over the CSX railroad tracks on Bridge Street, citing “advanced deterioration” of the span’s steel beams.

“At this time, there is no cost estimate or timeframe for either replacement or repair,” the Massachusetts Department of Transportation wrote in a statement Wednesday. (read more)

Southborough Police: Man, wife beat up ex-girlfriend at Wendy’sMWDN:
A Framingham man and his wife are facing charges after police say they beat up the man’s ex-girlfriend outside a fast food restaurant on Rte. 9. (read more)
