This year, Heritage Day falls on Monday, October 14 with festivities the night before.
If you plan to promote your organization, it’s time to sign up for your booth and/or to sponsor an activity. (The information you need is below.)
Otherwise, make sure to save the dates.
For those of you unfamiliar, Heritage Day is the the annual town celebration of our community. While it honors the town’s history it is rooted in the present, bringing together different segments of the community.
The parade lets organizations toot their own horn. Exhibit booths on St. Mark’s Field let them reach out to the community. And local vendors get a chance to show their wares or promote their message.
Festivities are officially kicked off Sunday night, October 13 with the Rotary Club’s 15th Annual Light-Up Southborough. This is the lit pumpkin display on the stone wall running from the Southborough Library, up the street towards Town Hall. Pumpkins are carved and submitted by residents in the afternoon for display that evening.
The parade starts at 10am on Monday from St. Anne’s Church. Among the vehicles and organizations will be the the Algonquin & Trottier School Marching Bands. (Note for participants: This year no cars will be allowed to pass through or park in the St. Anne’s lot. Click here for details.)
Other annual features include the Open House at the Fire Department and The Friends of the Southborough Library’s Book and Bake Sale at the library.

Note: There will not be a Road Race or Village Society Luncheon at the Community House this year.
