Last week, I wrote about the Southborough Library’s New England Author series. There is a decided emphasis on mysteries. So maybe one of the authors can help me solved the puzzle – How did I miss including this Monday’s reading?
This Monday, the library will host B.A. Shapiro, author of The Art Forger.
At 11:00 am, Shapiro will join the library for a public “Book Discussion and Reading”.
The Library’s monthly book group met earlier in the month to discuss among themselves. Now they and any other interested patrons will have a chance to ask the author questions.
The novel centers around a painting stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and a Boston artist who paints reproductions to scrape by. The story “takes the reader through Bostons art world, the logistics of forgery and the perils of attribution”. It is the author’s sixth book, and a New York Times Bestseller.
This event is part of the New England Author Series at the Southborough Library this fall, funded with a grant from the Southborough Cultural Arts Council, a representative of the Massachusetts Cultural Council and by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
The program is free and open to the public.
