It’s the time of year when little girls start knocking on your door to tempt you with Thin Mints. Yes, it’s Girl Scout Cookie time.
You may be soon approached by a Girl Scout, Brownie, or Daisy from your neighborhood. But if you have a craving and can’t bear waiting until the new year to get your Caramel deLites, you’re in luck.
Girl Scout Troop 72807 will be selling boxes this Saturday, December 14, outside of the Southborough Dunkin’ Donuts. That’s in the plaza on Cordaville Road, Route 85, across from the Transfer Station.
The girls must be looking to prove that they are hearty New Englanders. They’ve promised to be selling cookies there from 10:00 am-12:30 pm.
(Have they looked at the forecast? Brrrr! I hope they earn a good badge for their efforts.)

How do I order them and when is expected delivery? I’d like to get them for my son before he heads back to college after the holidays. Are there any other direct sales scheduled? And by the way, isn’t this very early for GS Cookies? When I was a leader we sold in late Jan or early Feb and delivered first week of March.
Sorry, I don’t know exact delivery, but it is well after holidays.
I don’t know why this is the timing, but this is when troops in town are told to sell. The girls get the packets in December and orders are due in early January.
The Girl Scout cookie sale for Southborough is from December 13- March 4. Southborough is at the most outer edge of what is considered The Eastern Mass Council. Westborough and Northborough, for example, are part of the Central Mass Council; that is why you may see them selling in different months and may even have their cookies priced differently. (Each Council has different properties and camps to maintain and thus each council can set their own prices per box.)
There is a large truck delivery in early February, so if you ordered from a Girl Scout coming to your door, you will get them shortly after that truck delivery. From January until March you may continue to see Girl Scouts sell at booth sales around town (transfer station, outside Dunkin at Town Plaza, etc). You may also see other town’s Girls Scouts selling at Stop and Shop, Hopkinton Post Office, Shoppers World, etc.
I believe you can check out the following site http://www.girlscoutcookies.org/ to see where local cookie booth sales are scheduled. Just enter our zipcode and hit “go”, scroll down and it will provide you with a list of booths in Southborough as well as surrounding towns.
