In a letter to parents today, Superintendent Charles Gobron said there are two confirmed cases of swine flu in the Northborough-Southborough school district. The letter did not indicate the age of the students or which schools they attend.
All schools will remain open and activities will continue as normal. Gobron urged “common sense precautions” like frequent hand washing.
You can read the full letter on the school district’s website. A flu symptom checklist and home isolation instructions are also available.
Southborough Town Administrator Jean Kitchen said police, fire, and Board of Health officials have all be informed of the swine flu cases.
Update: The Metrowest Daily News is reporting that one of the cases is a female student at Algonquin and the other is a male student at Trottier. Read the full story here.
