Northborough-Southborough’s Special Education Parents Advisory Council will hold its monthly presentation on February 11, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Northborough Public Library, 34 Main Street.
The focus this month is what’s involved in arranging for your child’s Extended School Year.
As distant as summer seems, it is that time of year to think about your child’s Extended School Year (ESY). . .
The presentation will include: An overview of the process, the relevant laws and regulations, your student’s rights to an individually designed placement that matches their needs (which is not always the in-district program), the requirement for transportation to be provided, your rights for appeal when disagreements arise
