The United Parishes of Southborough are working together on a Lenten Reflection series. The 4 week series will run Tuesdays, beginning tonight, March 18.
Tonight’s talk will focus on “Christian Characters and Their Complex Selves”.
The evening sessions are broken up into:
- 6:00 pm – a brief worship service
- 6:15 pm – a shared dinner
- 7:00 – 8:00 pm – a talk, followed by a small group discussion (Childcare will be provided for this hour.)
The non-denominational series is open to all Southborough residents and church members. The schedule is:
I look forward to this series every Lent! I learn so much from the different speakers and the lively discussions with members of the other churches in town. Tonight was no different, with a brief service at St.Anne’s followed by dinner and presentation by Rev. Julie Cedrone. Thank you so much, United Parishes of Southborough! I will see you next Tuesday evening.
Very grateful that I attended tonight’s event. Julie Cedrone did an amazing job presenting a compelling view of Mary Magdalene – mysterious to some and misunderstood to many. The event was very well attended and the format was extremely interactive. Did I mention great food to kick it off? This a Southboro gem and the good news is that the next event is next Tuesday evening.
My wife and I attended the first Lenten series tonight. It was led by Rev. Julie Cedrone and it was excellent (as was the meal service at St. Anne’s). I would encourage other readers of the blog to take advantage of this great opportunity to sit with other members of our community in a joint learning and social experience. There are three more series meetings.
