The plan was to shoot outside the church today, but the cold, gray weather forced filming inside. I spent a couple of hours around the set this morning and was amazed at how close to the action I got.
Onlookers were allowed free reign of the common in front of the church. I stood with a small band of gawkers on the Town House lawn next to Pilgrim, where I got a good view of the stars arriving for the shoot.
Salma Hayek, Rob Schneider, and David Spade hurried into the church upon arrival, but others including Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Chris Rock stood around outside talking for a bit.
Alas, my photos are proof that I’ll never be allowed into the ranks of the professional paparazzi, but I did at least get some star shots, albeit fuzzy ones. Fortunately, there were photographers from several news agencies there, and they had much more impressive lenses than I did, so I’m sure there will be no shortage of photos floating about over the coming days.
Here are some to get you started.
If you were there and took some photos you want to share, let me know!

Will viewers be allowed to watch all week? What would be a good time to catch a glimpse of the stars??
Dang, I shivered in the graveyard all night waiting for a chance to show Sandler my screenplay, and all I got was escorted away by two BC football players. Plus a restraining order, of course.
Hi Susan,
Thanks for the updates on the “Lake House/Grown Ups” movie, more please! I live in Southborough but work in town so your updates are a fun interlude during the day.
Regards,
HWF
Mindy – Not sure what the best time to catch the stars is. At the end of the day today, they all stopped to sign autographs. Filming is scheduled from 7am to 7pm.
Papa Rosa – Alas, looks like you’re doomed to toil in obscurity. Better luck next time. ;)
Heather – Glad I could add some happiness to your coffee break!
How would i be able to get the 5 pictures on this day sent to me via e-mail as well as a hard copy of each ?
thanks so much
Jennifer
