Woodward was like a carnival Wednesday evening as fans waited to catch the stars as they left town for the night. People milled about. Older kids fluttered between groups of friends, while the little kids played on the grass oblivious.
When a black SUV approached, the tension ratcheted up a notch. And when a car carrying a celeb crawled to a halt in front of the waiting fans, it was bedlam. This was the scene when Kevin James stopped to sign autographs.
Shoes were the autograph receptor of choice for some, including these three kids:
One of them tried to sell me his autographed shoe for $10 bucks.
Things were more subdued up at Pilgrim where they were shooting with extras until about 7:30 pm. A large crowd of fans were lined up along Main Street until the bitter end.

I’m a big fan, and would be lost for words if he showed up in my hometown. I know Adam Sandler is a big deal, but I’ve always related more to David’s comedic value, so here’s to you Southborough for having the pleasure to be in his presence!
