Some students at Mary Finn School got fresh air and exercise before class this week thanks to Walk to School Wednesday. Mary Finn school nurse Dale Burgess sent in this report along with some photos.
(Walk to School Wednesday) was a collaborative effort between the school, Southborough Recreation Department and Safe Routes to School. Approximately 50 children (with their parents) met at the Arts Center (Recreation Office) or joined up along the route to walk to school. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
The goal of Safe Routes to School is to encourage safe, healthy trip options for travel to and from school. It is a benefit both for our health and our community.
