Events this week (6/30 – 7/6/14): Library parade, pajama storytime and kids’ crafts

Above: The town doesn’t have a parade on the 4th of July. But the library’s annual tradition a few days before is the next best thing! (Photo by Susan Fitzgerald)

This week, the main events in town center around the Southborough Library.

I love the traditional kids parade, but can’t be there this year. If anyone takes pictures to share, please email them to mysouthborough@gmail.com!

Tuesday, July 1, 2014:

  • Southborough Library Fourth of July Parade (11:00 am) @ Southborough Library: Library staff leads children in town through the annual parade up Common Street to through the Town House and back. Get there a little early, so your child can get decked out in the Children’s Room’s patriotic accessories and grab a music maker to shake! Everyone is welcome to come for marching, music and snacks!

Wednesday, July 2, 2014:

  • Fay School Drop in Wednesdays (8:30 – 10:00 am) @ Fay’s Office of Admission, 52 Main Street: Want to learn more about Fay School? Join us for Walk-in Wednesdays every week this summer. It’s a fun and casual way to tour campus, talk with admission officers, and learn more about how Fay could offer your child a transformative experience.
  • Pajama Story Time (7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Come to the library in your pajamas to hear stories! If weather permits, it will be held on the back lawn. So, bring blankets. (In inclement weather, it will be held in the Children’s Room.)

Thursday, July 3, 2014:

  • Drop-In Craft Days (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Stop by the Children’s Room and make a craft project! (Parents/Caregivers need to stay with the children.)
