The annual Summer Nights festival relies on volunteers. So, Friends of the Southborough Recreation Department is calling on community members to help out.
For the 11th year, Southborough will hold the celebration with entertainment, fireworks, and family fun. The festival will cap off the summer on Saturday, August 23rd with a rain date of the 24th.
Organizers promise attractions for every age again, including a rock climbing wall and the “wrecking ball”. Most attractions need to be supervised by volunteers. Some require extra hands for setup. And the popular event calls for parking attendants to manage the traffic flow.
They need some volunteers for couple hour shifts. But most volunteers can commit just a half hour.
To sign up for a shift, visit their signup genius site. You can see what tasks and shifts are available and click one that works for you.
If you want to keep up with news and announcements on the event, you can join the group on Facebook under Southborough Summer Nights.
