Two hit and run accidents and two unrelated crashes with injuries were reported this week. Read about those incidents and more in the latest logs from the Southborough Police Department.
Thursday, July 31, 2014:
- 0935 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1001 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Pine Hill Road residence.
- 1100 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Sadie Hutt Lane.
- 1112 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Presidential Drive.
- 1123 hrs- An officer responded to a Newton Street business to investigate a report of a suspicious male party sleeping in a vehicle. The responding officer located the individual and advised that he checked out ok.
- 1132 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm on Southville Road.
- 1309 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Burnett Road residence.
- 1407 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1710 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint on Blackthorn Drive.
- 1743 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint on Southville Road.
- 1748 hrs- Officers investigated a hit & run accident on Turnpike Road. The incident is currently under investigation by the responding officer.
- 1817 hrs- A chocolate Labrador retriever was located by a resident in the area of Latisquama Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified of the lost dog.
- 2128 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.
Friday, August 01, 2014:
- 0014 hrs- An officer investigated a report of a tree down and blocking the road on Oregon Road.
- The DPW was notified and responded to the scene to remove the tree.
- 0734 hrs- Officers investigated a report of an erratic operator on Cordaville Road. The responding officer reported back negative findings in the area.
- 0747 hrs- An officer responded to Pinecone Lane to investigate a report of a suspicious male on a bicycle in the area. The responding officer reported back that the individual had left the area prior to the officers arrival.
- 0835 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Southville Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 0907 hrs- An officer took a report of a phone scam from a Charles Court resident.
- 0911 hrs- An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1248 hrs- An officer checked on a suspicious male party sleeping in his vehicle on Partridge Hill Road. The individual was located and checked out ok.
- 1541 hrs- An officer investigated a report of solicitors in the area of Breakneck Hill road.
- 1728 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Schipper Farm Lane residence.
- 1749 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint at a Cordaville Road business.
- 1932 hrs- Hopkinton Police requested Southborough Police stop & hold a motorist that had just left their town. A Southborough officer stopped the vehicle on River Street, and an officer from Hopkinton was able to make contact with the motorist.
Saturday, August 02, 2014:
- 0120 hrs- An officer responded to Cordaville Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
- 0851 hrs- An officer investigated a barking dog complaint on Pine Hill Road.
- 1244 hrs- An officer took a report of a hit & run accident on Southville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident, and the incident is currently under investigation by the responding officer.
- 1506 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.
- 1845 hrs- A medical was reported at a Main Street residence.
- 2126 hrs- An officer investigated a noise complaint at a Brookside Road residence.
- 2207 hrs- An officer responded back to the same residence on Brookside Road to investigate another noise complaint. The residents were advised to turn down their music.
Sunday, August 03, 2014:
- 0032 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 0033 hrs- An officer investigated a report of someone screaming in the woods on Lovers Lane. The responding officer reported back negative findings in the area.
- 0041 hrs- Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street business.
- 0227 hrs- ARRESTED: A Wayland man was charged with OUI Alcohol, Possession of Marijuana, and Improperly altering vehicle height.
- 0828 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1107 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.
- 1313 hrs- ARRESTED: A Waltham man was charged with Illegal Possession of a Class A Substance. He was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Turnpike Road business.
- 1701 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Breakneck Hill Road.
- 1810 hrs- A medical was reported at a General Henry Knox Road residence.
