I have an update on the ARHS Lacrosse clinics next week. Organizers have expanded it to include 4th graders. But if they don’t get enough registrations by noon Saturday, they will have to cancel the clinic.
So, if your kids enjoy lacrosse, or are interested in learning, here’s something for them to do over February break:
Last call for registrations for both the boys and girls lacrosse clinics foe ARHS Boosters. Our registrations are pretty low so if we don’t get enough registrations by Saturday am, we may have to cancel.
If your 4th to 8th grade boy or girl wants to get some excellent one on one instruction from the ARHS coaches and varsity players, then this is the clinic for you! $60 for 4 hours of instruction is a bargain.
If your child plans to attend but you have not submitted your regustration, please email Jim Hegarty at jimheg@gmail.com no later than noon Sat 2/ 14.
For more details, below is the edited original post:
ARHS Lacrosse teams and coaches are holding two day clinics over February break for 4th-8th graders.
The clinics are fundraisers. So the $60 fee will go to ARHS Boosters to help support the high school lacrosse teams.
Separate clinics will be held for boys and girls. The basic structure is the same.
Under supervision of ARHS coaches the Lacrosse teams will:
- run the kids through FUN drills
- hold scrimmages and competitions
- demonstrate plays they run at the high school level
Clinics will take place at Hit Quarters 3 Tennis Drive, Shrewsbury (off Rt 9 across from the Christmas Tree Shop).
The dates are Tuesday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 18:
- ARHS Girls will run the girls’ clinic in the mornings, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Girls must wear goggles and mouth guards. (Click here for registration form. Despite what it says, 4th graders are included)
- ARHS Boys will run the boys’ clinics from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Boys must bring their full lacrosse gear, and wear cups and mouth guards. (Click here for registration form. Despite what it says, 4th graders are included)
Any questions can be directed to Jim Hegarty at at jimheg@gmail.com or (774) 232-2332.
Due to low enrollment, the girls lacrosse clinic has been cancelled.
The boys clinic will still run on Tues and Wed from 11-1 at Hit Quarters.
If your 4th – 8th grade boy wants to participate and you haven’t registered yet, please call contact Jim Hegarty jimheg@gmail.com
Thank you!
Only 33 more days to spring!!!
