Wrapping up the winter sport season, Boys Hockey fell to upper seed Shrewsbury in their division quarter finals.
ARHS headed into the tournament having just beat Shrewsbury in their regular-season final. It’s a win, that Telegram.com posited may have led to their fall:
Second-seeded Shrewsbury stormed to a 4-0 lead in the first period before skating away with a 7-3 victory over third-seeded Algonquin in a Central Mass. Division 3 hockey semifinal at the New England Sports Center.

An earlier season Hockey win is one of the many moments captured in a video posted by the school’s newspaper.
The video isn’t exclusively about sports. It captures a look at ARHS events throughout the winter, including school arts programs. But a good portion is dedicated to winter sports highlights. So, this seemed like a good place to share it.

Spring sports don’t start up until the end of the month. (Not surprising, since most rely on fields/tracks still covered in snow.)
In the meantime, ARHS is looking for a little team Spirit this week.
On Thursday night, a portion of proceeds from Chick Fil A meals can be donated to the school’s sports’ biggest fans and supporters, the ARHS Boosters.
To ensure your order is counted towards the donations, please present the flyer when you buy your meal.
Updated: The event is Thursday night (not Friday!)
