- Technology Days (2:15 – 3:30 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Please join a group of Algonquin students for an hour of technology assistance. Students will answer all of your questions about cellphones, iPads, laptops, e-readers and more. Please write your questions down ahead of time so that everything can be answered.
- Incoming 6th Grade Parent Night (5:30 – 6:30 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Tours at 5:30 p.m, Orientation at 6:00 pm
- Special Education Law Updates (6:30 – 8:15 pm) @ Northborough Public Library: Join NSPAC and Attorney Daniel Perlman for a discussion. Perlman has committed his entire legal career to helping families who have children with special needs. See dedicated post for details.
- Why Parents Need to Let Their Children Fail (7:00 pm) @ Fay School, Harris Theater: Part of the free public series – Ideas&Insights at Fay School Special. Presentation by NY Times columnist, Jessica Lahey, a parenting and education expert. This event is free to attend and open to the public. No registration is required to attend the event. Thursday, April 16, 2015:
- Math Around You (10:15 am – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: This is a great program for little ones into math. Children will explore simple math concepts through fun hands on activities. This program is for children ages 3-6. Registration is required. Call 508-485-5031 or stop by the Children’s Room desk. - Free Matinee – The Theory of Everything (12:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: The biopic/romance tells the story of astrophysicist Stephen Hawking and his wife, their relationship and his amazing accomplishments despite incredible obstacles. (PG-13, 2 hours) The doors open at 11:30 for anyone who wants to come early to eat lunch before the show.
- ARHS Technical Career Fair (12:25 – 1:50 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym:
- Wolverines (7:30 pm) @ The Community House: Southborough Open Land Foundation presentation Southborough native Rebecca Watters, an Algonquin Regional High School graduate, will share her experiences doing research, both in the United States and Mongolia, on the elusive wolverine. Saturday, April 18, 2015:
- Mind & Meditation (10:30 am – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library: This morning program will help to reduce stress, improve self-esteem and benefit your health. The Art of Living will introduce you to powerful techniques that will increase your well-being by learning breathing techniques, low-impact yoga, and meditation. All are welcome!
