Dalayya Ika, 80, of Southborough, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in UMass Medical Center, after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Savitri (Divi) Ika; four sons, Prasad Ika of Ashland, Srinivas Ika of Hopkinton, Ravi Ika and Krishna Ika both of Southborough and five grandchildren.
He was born in Pedapadu, India, son of Appalaraju and Appayamma Ika and received a bachelors degree from ANR College, Gudivada. He and his wife came to live in Southborough in 1998 to be with their children and grandchildren.
Dalayya worked as an accountant for the Indian State Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 17th from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street (Rte. 30) Southborough. Cremation will follow at 1:00pm in Rural Cemetery on 180 Grove Street, Worcester, MA.
