If you’re making camp plans for your kids this summer, you may be noticing that most options wrap up by August 14th. Meanwhile, public school in Southborough doesn’t start for two more weeks.
Fortunately, as is there tradition, St Mark’s Episcopal Church is offering a late August half-day camp for kids. (It’s also a good way to occupy teens, since they are looking for volunteers to staff it.)
The church is hosting its annual Vacation Bible School for kids the week of August 17-21.
The half day camp will be held 9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the church.
The program is open to all children pre-K through entering 5th grade. (It is not necessary to be a member of any church to participate.)
The camp will group children by grade for learning and activities. Following an Everest curriculum, the daily schedule includes active games, cool science experiments, sports, Bible stories, prizes, snacks, and more.
The cost is only $50 for the week for one child, $85 for two kids, and $110 for three, and $135 for four. And you can take $10 off those prices if you sign up by June 14th. (That’s definitely the best pricing I’ve seen for any program this summer.)
The price covers snack, all activities, a water bottle, and a camp t-shirt.
Bonus – on Thursday, August 20th, the church will hold a special after-camp tween party for campers and helpers age 8-12.
Coordinators are still seeking volunteer adults, middle school and high school students. (All volunteers aged 18 and older must have a CORI check on file with the church.)
