The days of watching the Southborough selectmen in action from the comfort of your couch are drawing closer. Last week selectmen said they will broadcast their meetings on the town’s public access channels starting with the meeting on July 28.
But before the meetings are broadcast to your living room, they want to make sure town officials know what they can and can’t say in a public forum. To that end they’ll hold a Municipal Liability Seminar on July 14th. The session will be mandatory for all department heads.
Once that training is out of the way, you’ll be able to watch the board’s meetings on the public channel (Charter channel 11 and Verizon channel 38). Selectmen said previously that meetings would not be broadcast live.
I can’t believe Southborough is behind Grafton in this!
Yep. It’s been a long time coming!
Verizon FiOS ch 38 is public access? Does it have all the same content as Charter, i.e. Algonquin game replays, etc? I may be able to switch :-)
I have been happy to have a man with such integrity and expertize be willing to give of his time for our town. We are lucky to have him
