This coming Tuesday, Museum of Science instructors will help kids in town try a hand at rocket propulsion.
On July 28th, kids will learn the science behind rockets and space exploration in “Rockets: There and Back again”. Participants will then plan, build and test their own “rockets.”
The Museum of Science describes:
In this workshop, audiences create an air rocket that launches across the room, and engineer a way for a payload to return safely to Earth. This hands-on workshop explores the science behind rockets and space exploration. Use your imagination to plan, build, and test your own design.
The program is designed for kids aged 10 and older. 5-10 year olds can also participate if accompanied by an adult.
Since the program is likely to be popular, the library will hold 3 sessions and pre-registration is required.
Session 1: 1:00 – 2:00
Session 2: 2:00 – 3:00
Session 3: 3:00 – 4:00 (This session is reserved for ages 10+ only)
Sign up in the library’s Children’s Room or by calling 508-485-5031.
The program is sponsored by the Southborough Community Foundation.
