The fall session of Recreation After-school Programs (RAP) starts later this month. While registration is open until next Friday, September 11, at least two classes were already full when I checked. And a few others were getting close.
In addition to some returning favorites, Town Rec promotes:
NEW classes include Quidditch, Power Hour Basketball, Whimsical Sea Creatures, App Design and Drone Pilot!
If you aren’t familiar with the RAP program, these are five week classes covering a fun range of sports, arts, and other activities:
to develop social, academic and physical skills for children in a fun and friendly environment.
Instead of getting on the bus, students stay after school. The students must then be picked up at the end of the session.*
Below is quick list by school with links to their flyers for descriptions and schedules.
You can use the linked forms below to register, or click here to sign up online. (I suggest at least checking the class through online signup first, to make sure it’s not full.) If you do use the form, don’t send it in to school. They must be submitted to Town Rec.

*Note: Most activities take place at the students’ schools. That means that Extended Day students can head to that program a the end of their RAP classes. But be sure to look at the details when you register. A handful of activities are off-site.
In those exceptions, the town provides transportation to the class, but students aren’t returned to their original school. They must be picked up from their class locations at the end of the sessions.
